ARGO brings aboard Joel Hallstrom as Product Manager of their vehicle division
(NEW HAMBURG, May 24, 2022) — ARGO, manufacturer of ATVs, SxSs, UTVs and the worldwide leader for amphibious Xtreme Terrain Vehicles (XTVs) is pleased to announce the addition of Joel “Joey” Hallstrom as product manager for their vehicle division. Officing out of Thief River Falls, MN, Joey will be working with a multitude of groups from both the Canadian and US operations on product development, channel strategies and promotions.
Anyone that has been around the powersports industry has encountered Joey and experienced his passion for powersports firsthand. Finding his place early in life, Joey’s impressive tenure at Arctic Cat had him wearing many hats, from race manager, to product manager, business development manager and ending as an industry relations manager.
When asked what attracted him to ARGO, Joey responded by saying, “I immediately saw a spark and positive energy in everyone. Seeing how far ARGO has come in the last few years and where they want to go, I couldn’t be more excited to part of that. Plus, there is a whole group of hard-working people up in Ontario that I’m looking forward to collaborating with.”
ARGO CEO Brad Darling stated “Joey’s experience in powersports, product management, and international affairs, make him the perfect fit for this position. After getting acquainted with the upcoming MY23 product, Joey will transition to the “what’s next?” for ARGO.”

The ARGO Xplorer XC 90 is rated for riders ages 12 & up and touts an 89cc fan-cooled engine, durable automatic CVT transmission with forward, neutral and reverse. The single A-Arm front suspension and swing arm rear suspension provide a smooth ride while the working headlight and taillight/brake light provide more visibility. The adjustable throttle and tether cord allows this machine to grow with the rider’s capabilities. Add in the standard electric start and this is one feature-packed machine.
This youth ATV is geared for fun and safety in mind. Available in white with a highly visible orange whip flag.

ARGO Unveils Newly Enhanced Lineup for Model Year 2022
(NEW HAMBURG, August 3, 2021) — ARGO, the worldwide leader for manned and unmanned amphibious Extreme Terrain Vehicles (XTVs) has proven to be a resilient force amongst industry competitors in recent years. Today, ARGO unveiled a newly enhanced lineup for model year 2022 that positions them as one of the most diversified manufacturers within the off-road industry. Starting with new product offerings within the side by side (SxS) and commercial markets while expanding their ATV offering, the ARGO brand is now a strong contender in dealerships across North America. Brad Darling, President and CEO of ARGO made the following statement about the launch of the 2022 product lineup, “We made a promise to Know No Boundaries when engineering new and innovative ways to Go Anywhere. Our product offering for model year 2022 illustrates not only our commitment to this promise but also our commitment to revolutionizing the powersports industry by bringing you products no other manufacturer can offer.”
Leading off with the all-new products for 2022, ARGO announces the Magnum XF Utility SxSs. Offered in a base and LE package, this all-new line of SxSs from ARGO standout with utilitarian features such as the Push-Button 2WD/4WD with Front Differential Lock, a tilt-assist dump box, optimal storage capacity within the cab and tailgate, and finished off with the highly sought-after projector beam headlights. Outfitted and competitively priced to compete with other leading brands, the Magnum line of SxSs opens the door to a new segment of products for existing ARGO customers and potential new ARGO customers.
Returning with a large list of enhancements for model year 2022 is ARGO’s extensive ATV product offerings. Newly fabricated and engineered around consumer and dealer requests, the 2022 lineup of ARGO ATVs now includes a youth XC 90 model, rated for riders 12 and up, a newly engineered line of trusted XR 500 models and an all-new XR 700 model to round out the single rider category. With the market showing continued interest in the 2-up category, ARGO offers their touring models for 2022 with displacement options in XRT 570 and XRT 1000 models. Curated to fit the differentiated needs of off-road customers, the all-new line of ATVs will be offered in packages ranging from base models to SE or LE packages. This newly enhanced line of ATVs symbolizes ARGO’s commitment to the off-road dirt segment and represents ARGO’s dedication to finding the right machine for every customer.
Moving into the world-renowned amphibious segment of Extreme Terrain Vehicles (XTVs) ARGO is excited to announce the implementation of the newly designed and revolutionary, Instant Torque Drive System (ITDS) and Instant Torque Clutching (ITC). Engineered to enhance torque, acceleration, speed and throttle response, the combination of ITDS and ITC alleviates the need to offer two different transmission options like the High-Torque (HT) and Standard Torque (ST) transmission found in previous years. Offered as a standard option on all recreation and commercial XTVs, this newly engineered drive system and clutching provides increased torque and acceleration in one package. VP of Engineering Mark Esala commented, “This new Instant Torque Drive System dramatically improves low end torque and increases acceleration. The Instant Torque Clutch is designed to provide the optimal gear ratio shifting seamlessly throughout the full range to utilize the massive torque and power of our engines. We have combined torque, acceleration, throttle response and speed into one package.” Along with the new drive system and clutching, ARGO is also proud to announce the addition of a newly engineered 8.5-gallon steel fuel tank with the fuel level display integrated into the dash-mounted, multi-function premium and deluxe gauge versions. Highly requested by customers and dealers alike, ARGO XTVs now offer extended range while enhancing fuel level awareness.
For 2022, ARGO’s 3-prong series of recreation XTVs will continue to lead with the Frontier, Aurora and Conquest models. Opening with the value centered Frontier series, this line will be offered in both 6x6 and 8x8 variants in 650 or 700 options. Powered by the 23 HP Carbureted or Electronic Fuel Injected (EFI) Vanguard engine, the Frontier series comes equipped with the all-new ITDS and ITC along with the newly engineered steel fuel tank and electronic fuel level display. Also included on all Frontier models for 2022 are hi-vis LED taillights prioritizing operator and passenger safety during all hours of operation. The Aurora Series returns as the premiere XTV in ARGO’s lineup. Offered in 800, 850 and 950 packages, outfitted with premium features and Big-Block™ engine options, the Aurora series is complimented with the addition of the ITDS and ITC. The Aurora continues to standout as the ultimate Go Anywhere vehicle. Finally, the Conquest Outfitter concludes the recreation line up of XTVs. Built around mother nature’s catastrophic tendencies, the outfitter is engineered for sportsmen, by sportsmen. Available in the 800-liquid cooled and 950 fan cooled packages, the outfitter continues its reign over the backwoods with the addition of the newly engineered ITDS and ITC. Capping off an already impressive 2022 product offering, ARGO announces the expansion of their Commercial lineup with the Conquest Pro and Aurora Responder XTVs and the ARGO Sherp Series Utility Task Vehicles (UTVs). (NEW HAMBURG, July 8, 2021) — ARGO, the worldwide leader for manned and unmanned amphibious Extreme Terrain Vehicles (XTVs) welcomes industry veteran Brian Dick to the ARGO team. Brian comes to ARGO with over 20 years of experience leading a number of engineering and research & development initiatives at Arctic Cat. Officing out of the US headquarters in Thief River Falls, MN, Brian will carry the role as Product Team Manager reporting to Mark Esala, VP – Engineering. Surrounded by an office of familiar faces, Brian expressed his excitement by saying, “It is refreshing to be working with an OEM that values the differentiated needs of their customer base and a leadership team that prioritizes their network of established dealers. The team of engineers at ARGO have taken tremendous steps forward and I am happy to contribute to the progression this company has demonstrated.”
Excited to be expanding his team with such a credible and innovative veteran such as Brian, Esala happily remarked, “We have a strong team of engineers, and the addition of Brian symbolizes ARGO’s commitment to becoming a driving force making lasting impacts within the powersports industry.” With an average of 24.5 years of experience amongst the entire staff officing out of the TRF headquarters, ARGO continues to make massive strides moving into model year 2022.
ARGO celebrates its first anniversary in the TRF facility and now staffs multiple departments including Engineering, Parts Inventory Management, PG&A Development, and Promotions. The office space recently concluded extensive renovations that cater to the growing company. Capitalizing on additional office locations while offering enhanced shop space for engineering, the updated facility is now fit for each individual department.
With a year filled with new products, record sales and a newly enhanced workforce, ARGO shows no signs of slowing down. When asked about the exponential growth ARGO has shown in the past year and the expansion of the US headquarters, President and CEO, Brad Darling responded saying, “We are working to expand the business through multiple avenues. In doing so, we must also expand and enhance our resources made available to our teams. (NEW HAMBURG, June 6, 2021) — ARGO, the worldwide leader for manned and unmanned amphibious Extreme Terrain Vehicles (XTVs) made waves within the industry as they announced their introduction into the off-road Side-by-Side market. Coupled with additional headlines of a newly expanded ATV lineup, the new power house among OEM’s came out swinging with two all-new SxSs and five all-new ATVs for model year 2022. Continuing to carry the strong momentum from record sales throughout calendar year 2020 and so far in 2021, preliminary reports are showing an overwhelmingly strong response from their established dealer network.
Released as an hors d'oeuvre to the highly anticipated 2022 product launch of amphibious Extreme Terrain Vehicles (XTVs) and Utility Task Vehicles (UTVs), the expanded line of ATVs includes a feature-packed new product within the youth market along with added displacement options among mid-size and full-size ATVs. New for model year 2022, ARGO has added the XC 90 youth model ATV, approved for riders ages 12 and up. Additionally, the ARGO team unveiled an all-new XR 500 and XR 700 with elite features such as 1” heavy-duty steel racks, aggressive off-road tires and a 3,000 lb. winch. These newly engineered ATVs standout among industry leading competitors. Representing the new line of SxSs, the Magnum series XF comes equipped with industry leading features such as the Push-Button 2WD/4WD with Front Differential Lock and Push-Button Locking/Unlocking Rear Differential, a tilt-assist dump box, optimal storage capacity within the cab and tailgate, and finished off with projector beam headlights, highly sought after by current ARGO customers. These all-new ATVs and SxSs will be available in base, SE or LE packages. SE models are easily recognizable by touting features like painted body panels, aluminum rims, premium tires and a winch. Dressed with the same features as SE models, the LE models receive Electronic Power Steering (EPS).

Six (6) new District Sales Managers (DSMs) added across Canada and the U.S.

In efforts to help support the sustained growth this past fiscal year, ARGO has hired 6 additional DSMs for the North American market. Representing the Canadian provinces, ARGO welcomes: Jared Picard, Robert Berube and Josh Underhill. Tasked with the U.S. dealer network, ARGO welcomes Stacy Hadaway, Greg Soland and Josh Robinson. The newly added DSMs bring an abundance of industry knowledge and expertise that will be critical as ARGO navigates the unprecedented growth and expansion across North America.
After augmenting the product offering by adding the all-new ARGO Sherp series, growth and expansion of the dealer network has become the top priority among ARGO’s sales team. “Field demand for all of our models has been incredible during this past year but we kept being asked about a liquid cooled model in our premium Aurora platform” stated Kevin Asselin, ARGOs Vice President of Sales. “We put a lot of stake in the voice of the customer and we heard them loud and clear here. The Huntmaster model also features a front rack, winch, and rear cargo box as standard equipment.

In his new role, Kennedy assumes responsibility for leading and growing ARGO’s commercial and robotic market by building and executing a global expansion strategy based off of the company’s recently launched target market vehicle platforms. In addition to strengthening the ARGO brand, Kennedy is also tasked with identifying and developing innovative new products, as well as supporting and growing the company’s commercial and robotic partners.
